Terms
Last updated: October 19, 2026
These terms cover My Monitor, the monitoring service Stoll Design runs at monitor.stoll.cc (and at a property’s own address, such as sunnyhill.stoll.cc), and the alerts it sends.
Text alert terms
- Program: My Monitor alerts, by Stoll Design.
- What you get: texts about the properties you choose in My Monitor: warnings and critical alerts (such as a low battery, equipment that stopped reporting, or a property not heard from), a text when things are back to normal, and codes to confirm your number. No marketing.
- How you join: you add your mobile number under My account › Alerts, agree to these terms, and confirm the number with the code we text to it. See how signing up works.
- How often: message frequency varies with what happens at your properties, up to 12 texts a day.
- Cost: we don’t charge for texts. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
- To stop: reply STOP to any text. We’ll send one text to confirm, then nothing more. You can also turn texts off in the app. To start again, reply START or confirm your number again in the app.
- For help: reply HELP, or email [email protected].
- Carriers aren’t liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Your number is handled as the privacy policy says. We never share or sell it, or your agreement to get texts, for anyone’s marketing.
Using My Monitor
My Monitor shows readings from your equipment (solar, battery, inverters, generator, propane, heating, breakers) and alerts you when something needs attention. You use it with an account that a property’s owner, or Stoll Design, set up for you.
- Keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what’s done with your account.
- Use it only for properties you’re allowed to see, and don’t try to get into anyone else’s.
- Some equipment can be controlled from the app. Controls need a sign-in and every use is recorded.
What it isn’t
My Monitor is an extra pair of eyes, not a safety system. It depends on your internet, your equipment makers’ online services, and phone and email networks, any of which can be slow or down. An alert can be late or not arrive. It doesn’t replace smoke, carbon monoxide or propane detectors, alarm monitoring, or regular maintenance of your equipment.
Your equipment’s own services
My Monitor reads your equipment through its makers’ online services (for example EG4) using the logins you provide. Their terms still apply to your use of their services, and brand names belong to their owners.
Liability
We work hard to keep My Monitor accurate and running, but we provide it as it is. As far as the law allows, Stoll Design isn’t liable for losses from readings that are wrong, late or missing, or from alerts that are late or don’t arrive.
Changes and ending
We may update My Monitor and these terms. If a change matters, we’ll say so in the app or by email. You can stop using My Monitor at any time; ask us and we’ll close your account.
Installer program terms
These apply to a business that joins the My Monitor installer program, on the installers page or in the app.
- Your part: you’re your clients’ first contact for help with My Monitor and their equipment. Your name, logo, colour, help phone and email are shown to them in the app and in their alert emails. Stoll Design runs the service and supports you.
- Your brand: the name, logo and contact details you use must be yours to use, and kept up to date.
- Your clients: they sign up with and pay Stoll Design directly, and these terms and our privacy policy apply to them as to anyone. You see their properties to help them: keep what you see private and use it only for that.
- Commission: 25% of each payment your clients make to Stoll Design for My Monitor (plans, their own address, setup, training and visits), after sales tax and the card processor’s fee. AI credit packs earn no commission. If a payment is refunded, its commission may be taken back from your balance.
- Payouts: through Stripe, to an account you set up with Stripe. At the end of each month, a balance of $100 or more is paid out; a smaller balance carries over. You can take your balance early for Stripe’s payout fee plus $1.50, taken from the payout. Payouts need the 2-step sign-in code on your account.
- The yearly minimum: at least 3 new properties up and running in each year of the program, counted from the day you joined. With fewer, at the end of that year your clients become Stoll Design’s clients directly and no more commission is earned on them. Their monitors keep working, and a balance you’ve already earned is still paid out.
- Your taxes: commission is income to your business; you look after your own tax on it.
- Changes and ending: we may change the program and these terms; if a change matters, we’ll email you before it starts. You or we can end it at any time; your clients then become Stoll Design’s clients directly, and a balance you’ve already earned is still paid out.
